Used for promotion, the photo for this card was taken sometime in the 1940's,on the Willowemoc Creek, at one of the exclusive fishing club properties. A few hundred yards upstream, at the junction of the Willowemoc and Mongaup Creeks, a fella by the name of " George Michel Lucien La Branche" once cast his dry flys on the smaller waters of the Willowemoc, his technical casting being of some renown. He published The Dry Fly and Fast Water in 1914, which helped to formulate the "American dry fly philosophy of fishing the water, rather than casting to individual trout." Ernest Schwiebert--
